IT Support Engineer

Our client is looking to expand their team with an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer, the role is based in Llanishen, Cardiff but it is open to flexible hybrid working. As this role is customer facing, interpersonal skills are essential. UK driving license is required (company cars provided when needed).


About the role:

Day to day you will act as a 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support to customers and help lead on the delivery of technical projects. You will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring they are happy with the IT services provided by the company. You will be responsible for escalated user enquires and provide support when needed.



  • 2+ years in a similar customer facing support position
  • Excellent configuration / troubleshooting, analytical and diagnostic skills.
  • Technical knowledge:
    • Windows Server 2008 onwards
    • Active Directory / Microsoft Azure
    • Microsoft Exchange / Office 365
    • Network & Storage fabrics
    • Virtualisation Technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V)
    • Connectivity solutions including both data and voice technologies (MPLS, VLAN, VPN, Terminal Services, Firewalls, SIP, ADSL / VDSL)


About you:

You will be an enthusiastic and personable member of the team, someone who is excited to progress their career. Not essential but if you have a CNA, Network+ or Microsoft Certified Professional / MCSA qualification it would be a major bonus.
