Job description

We have an opening to work for a great engineering business based in Bridgend.

You will be working Mon - Thurs 6am - 2pm and Friday 6am - 11am 

JOB ROLE:

  • To work as a member of the Production Team, engaged in the manufacture of the company’s products
  • To develop as an individual to be competent in all aspects of production on all models in the company’s product range
  • To implement revisions to production methods, that result from analysis of quality issues occurring in products within their warranty period
  • To act occasionally as a service support technician to support field-related activities
  • To undertake other training as mutually agreed, to increase capability and experience and therefore perform other duties as agreed within the business

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • To act as a member of the Production Team, reporting to the Production Supervisor, and to be involved directly in the manufacture of the company’s products
  • To work with other members of team to help examine the causes for warranty failures and complaints, and to implement agreed changes to production processes or methods as agreed by the quality team; and ensure implementation into your own work
  • To work under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, Senior Production Technician, and supporting departments and assist in the achievement of the production department’s quarterly objectives and targets set by the management team
  • To work under the ISO accreditation system of the company and maintain the necessary records pertaining to production
  • To follow agreed work instructions to maintain quality
  • To support our field service support engineers when occasionally requested
  • To achieve company goals and ensure production requirements are met
  • To operate required equipment and facilities safely in accordance with work instructions and training received
  • To work effectively and openly with team members and other departments
  • To undertake all reasonable customer site visits where appropriate to further the company’s aims and objectives.
  • To undergo skills training where necessary, to improve skill base as a part of the company’s ongoing improvement
  • From time to time, provide suggestions for improvements to the business, for discussion through team meetings
  • To be flexible and undertake any other reasonable activities as requested for the benefit of the company
