European Installation & Service Engineer

A world leading furniture manufacturer are currently seeking a European Installation & Service Engineer to join their field installation and service team within Europe. This role means you will be operating throughout Europe, but predominantly France and Germany. This is a newly created role within the business due to continued success and growth within their market. You will be responsible for delivering a first-class experience to customers by carrying out training to regional teams, dealers and customers on furniture installations and service work to the highest standard. Providing technical support and advice as well as feeding back any issues that may arise to head office.

You will be an ambassador for the company, dealing directly with suppliers and customers, therefore you should have the highest level of professionalism and excellent communication skills (including German and/or French language skills). You will occasionally be called upon to assist in the installation and service work itself within Europe and the UK, therefore you should be flexible to cover the work as required. The role will require travel mainly throughout Europe and will involve spending a lot of time away from home (all expenses covered). Flexibility with working hours will also be required due to the nature of the role, this will include working occasional evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Provide installation support to Sub-contractors, Dealers and Partners
• Provide training for installation of products to customers and regional teams
• Provide advice and technical support
• Reporting of issues and feedback to Head Office
• Install and service a range of furniture products into customer premises
• Impress customers with your attitude, knowledge, appearance and helpfulness
• Provide feedback on product concerns

Experience/skills:

• Ability to speak French or German
• Hold a UK driving license
• Have an expertise and knowledge on installation of products
• Technically minded
• Good level of numeracy and literacy (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths)
• Excellent communication skills and a professional manner
• Experience in a similar role would be beneficial
• Experience of furniture installations and/or servicing would be beneficial
• Can do attitude
• Excellent customer service skills
• Beneficial to live near one of the major UK Airports (Manchester, Birmingham, London Stansted, London Heathrow, London Gatwick)
