Java Developer

Struggling to find a Java Developer role with a lot of interesting projects to get involved in, a good company with a strong presence globally but struggling to find the right one for you? We are currently helping our client, based in Worcester, to find a developer with a strong level of Java experience to join their existing team and work on their new greenfield project.

About the company…
• Operating for approximately 10 years, they are a software house that work within the cyber security industry; creating applications, services and products to help secure companies worldwide.
• Renowned throughout the industry they win multiple awards on an annual basis and have a company culture that takes care of their staff.

About you…
• You have a strong background within development but as well as being able to code, you have an inquisitive nature where you are keen to explore problems and create new solutions.
• You are able to work collaboratively within a team, build strong relationships with your co-workers and always try to improve your existing skillset.

About the role…
• Working closely with the current development team you will be able to work on their new greenfield project.
• You’ll be able to help shape the direction of the new service, be able to influence the tech stack being used and help to take the company to the next level in their vision.
• Being a senior member within the team you’ll be able to mentor more junior developers.

The technology / experience needed…
• A strong background with Java development and the ability to use frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Strut etc
• Experience working with automation toolkits such as Gradle, Maven, Jenkins etc.
• The ability to work across the whole SDLC; taking code through to production level.
• Experience working within an Agile environment utilising scrum methodologies and approaches to work.

In an ideal world you’ll also have exposure to other programming languages (C++, Python etc), be able to work across multiple OS and have some knowledge of front end technologies (or at least how they operate with the back end)
