Web Technologist - Full stack developer

A FTSE 100 organisation in Leeds are looking for an experienced web technologist/full stack developer who has current experience using Angular (versions 2 and upwards) and React.js for UI Development and strong abilities with C#.Net and ASP.Net Core (Web API). As the successful Full Stack Developer, you will be collaborative and provide knowledge to other team members to broaden understanding. You will be someone who is abreast of current and emerging technologies in areas of web development and possesses a good understanding of working in an Agile environment.

The key focus on this role is to help produce cutting-edge MS Office Web Add-ins which provide integration with Visualfiles and give great UX for users across MS Office products. In addition, the successful candidate will also be involved with developing the new Angular web UI for an award-winning product.

To apply for this role, you will have the following commercial experience:
• Commercial experience using Angular 2+ (preferred version 7+)
• Commercial experience using React.js
• Producing Microsoft Office Web Add-ins (using React)

Experience of Outlook & Word Add-in development knowledge, including Office.js, Office Fabric React UI is key as well as a strong understand of C#.Net/ASP.Net Core. Candidates who can demonstrate experience working with JavaScript/Typescript, CSS, SCSS, SASS or LESS, Jasmine/Jest, Karma, Protractor, TDD/BDD as well as the above would have a strong advantage.

Knowledge of VSTS and Git, and MS Graph API/MS Office development, as well as Microsoft Azure, is a bonus.

• Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
• Complete complex bug fixes.
• Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
• Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Resolve complex technical issues as necessary.
• Manage work including prototyping, testing, estimations and task allocation, implementation, documentation and delivery.
• Collaborate with the team and product manager to prioritise business needs and task plans.
• Participate in daily scrums, product demos and team meetings, and proactively participate in improving the development process.
• Providing third line product support & assistance investigating customer raised issues.
• Deal with day-to-day operational challenges that occur to deliver good quality code on time. Assists individuals, groups and senior staff in decision making, project planning and task estimations.
