Golang Engineer – London (central) – up to £90,000 + WFH options
We’re helping to scale the team for an early stage start-up who are creating a blockchain based financial marketplace and looking for a skilled Golang Engineer to make key contributions to the creation of a high-throughput, low-latency blockchain.

In a nut shell we’re looking for engineers who are interested in solving complex challenges as well as working with blockchain and distributed systems and have a passion for writing clean, well-documented and testable code! This is a great opportunity to join a small, VC-funded start-up based in London’s fintech hub utilizing cutting edge technology including blockchain and Golang to truly disrupt the FS industry.

The team have developed their core system and now are making strides to take it public – it’s a great opportunity to help take a product from early stage prototype through the phases of building out the framework to a production quality derivative trading platform.

They operate cross functional teams, and are fluent in multiple programming languages - One of the key things we’re looking for though is a strong knowledge of Go idioms and libraries; though you’re not expected to tick every box below you should be keen on learning more about things like -
* Golang
* Tendermint
* Docker
* BadgerDB
* React / Typescript
* Python
* Terraform

Ideally, we want someone who’s worked on at least two production Golang codebases that are reasonably large but it’s great if you have experience with other programming languages such as C, Java, C#, Solidity, Rust, Python, etc. too.

The project has some great interest from investors, traders and technologists and this will be a great opportunity to get to know an exciting, emerging industry!

The team there actively support remote working and are flexible on hours as well as have a common-sense approach regarding leave - wherever possible they allow you to determine your own schedule and work environment.
