Scrum Master – based in Cwmbran with flexible and some WFH options
We’re helping scale a multi-disciplined team for a big data focused start-up based in Cwmbran.

The Scrum Master is an integral part of any Agile Scrum Team, though as this is a start-up, naturally this is a slightly different role! Essentially, we’re are looking for someone that is able to run Scrum master ceremonies, planning and coach the team into a truly Agile/Scrum framework. However, as the team is small, this person will also facilitate some PM responsibilities for the rest of their day, balancing responsibilities in a way that best suits the projects at the moment.

What you’ll be doing…
As Scrum Master, you will work closely with the technical and development teams (team of roughly 11) as well as stakeholders to forge strong working relationships. This is a varied role as successful Scrum Master will be also be responsible for the delivery of projects in this cross functional team.
Other responsibilities include:
* Guide the team and organisation on how to use best Agile/Scrum practices and values
* To lead and own the delivery of client projects from pre-discovery to launch, on time and within scope
* Successfully manage internal technical resources and teams
* Create and manage client relationships and external suppliers
* Maintain appropriate documentation and ensure all documents are up to date
* Maintain project plans / project status reports and provide updates as required into the Director or Operations
* Guide the team on self-organising to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
* Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution

About you…
We’re looking for someone who has a great attitude and is passionate about upskilling and using new technologies. As a base, experience / exposure of the following would be great -
* Previous work as a Scrum Master in a team applying best Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
* Previous experience working with a live product environment.
* Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

The company has a start-up mindset though so any experience of this would be hugely beneficial alongside excellent verbal and written communications skills.
We’d also be open to seeing project managers from a SaaS environment with really good Scrum experience.
It would also be great if you have current or previous Scrum Master certification or formal Project Management qualifications and proven experience of running medium to large projects

About them -
When we say big data we’re not looking for data scientists, but we are looking for people who want to work on performant systems which work with up to 60 million transactions an hour!

They offer a great start up lead environment which includes regular Lightening Talks and workshops, they have an attractive and modern working environment, a great product, and offer a clear product roadmap which includes Greenfield developments.

Still here? Good!
