DevOps Architect - up to £90,000 per annum DOE + equity

We’re on the lookout for a talented DevOps Architect who never says no to a challenge and has a passion for all things automated! The company is recognised as one of the biggest healthcare providers in the UK, and the successful candidate will be forming part of their DevOps team in order to design and implement their system architecture and processes through the use of automated tools and DevOps best practises.

As the DevOps Architect, you will be required to come on board and manage a small team of DevOps Engineers as well being the technical point of contact between clients, senior management, and the engineering team. AWS sits in the heart of their infrastructure, however, in order to take the company and product to the next level, they are looking for an AWS enthusiast with proven infrastructure architecture design skills to deliver their system architecture vision.

As the successful candidate you will need a wide range of technical experience and be confident picking up and delivering on new projects and technologies. To be considered for the role the DevOps Architect will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience:
• Expert Configuration Management tooling experience with technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef
• In depth knowledge of Linux Operating Systems
• Experience with Python and Ruby or other scripting languages
• Highly confident with Orchestration tooling technologies such as CloudFormation or Terraform
• Previous experience in Containerization with Docker/ECS
• Strong knowledge of automatically deploying applications using Cloud LB’s / NGINX / PHP-FPM / MySQL.
• Source control tools e.g Git, or SVN
• Systems monitoring, debugging and solutions on Nagios and New Relic
• Highly confident with continuous integration with Jenkins or AWS CodeDeploy

There are also plus points for experience in queue technologies e.g. Rabbit, ZeroMQ and having obtained AWS Solution Architect certification.
