DevOps Engineer

You will play a vital role in the company, ensuring developers can continue building great software, and operations can have this working in a production environment. Agile is their middle name and they’re keen to find someone interested in pushing innovation in the digital banking world.

The successful DevOps Engineer will be working hands-on with a multi-disciplinary team, making Operations and IT happen! With your experience and skills, you’ll contribute to the ongoing development of software products, driving the team to deliver great new capabilities. You'll be working closely with the development teams, architects and other Leads to align on priorities and technical design decisions.

They succeed as a team and are looking for team players that can add real value to what they do. Ideally, the successful DevOps Engineer will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Any experience designing and/or building critical services (large scale internet or cloud-based services)
* Shell, scripting and Python programming experience
* Expertise with Linux / Unix systems
* Experience with any of configuration management tools (such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt)
* Experience with any of continuous integration server (such as Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity)
* Knowledge of cloud computing concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
* Proven experience with production systems and dealing with production issues
* Experience deploying to application servers such as Jetty, Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere in enterprise environments, and working with Relational and NoSQL Databases
* It would be great if you have any experience with Java but this isn’t necessary for applicants!
