Linux Platform Engineer

IntaPeople are working with a local client based in Cardiff, who are looking to add a Linux Engineer to their already successful team.
Supporting their new wave of applications and the platform from where they run, this is the chance to get involved with new technology being used to support the business Full training would be given, but if you already had some knowledge or experience of Container Orchestration (Kubernetes\ Openshift) it would be beneficial.

The successful Linux Engineer will need to be highly motivated and prepared to undergo formal training with exam certifications at the end.

To apply for the Linux Engineer role, you will be able to demonstrate the following experience:
- Experience of Linux Redhat and system administration
- Knowledge of scripting
- Experience \ understand of Container Orchestration (Kubernetes \ Openshift)
- Test, build and deploy code based on GIT Repositories
- Collaboration tools slack, Jira and confluence
- Deploy and manage monitoring and logging tools such as Elasticsearch, Prometheus, alert manager or Grafana.
- Experience of working within Agile teams focused on scrum and sprint planning
- Understanding of IT Security and its importance in day to day operations

Candidates will ideally be degree level educated and be fluent in written and spoken English. This role will require you to have a willingness to learn quickly and undertake a continual personal development path.
