IT Manager – Cardiff, 25 days holiday, bonus scheme, flexi working and a 35-hour working week!

We’re currently looking for an experienced, hands on IT Manager to join a Software house in Cardiff. You’ll be responsible for ensuring full operational support is delivered across the company and working closely with the CTO to plan and implement the overall company IT strategy.

It’s a fast-paced environment that encourages innovation; the company are developing industry changing products using the latest technologies and are keen to bring in an IT Manager to work in a hands-on role across a range of areas.

About you…
Simply put, we’re looking for someone passionate about IT… it’s a slightly different position where we’d be open to seeing a range of applications and experience levels. The team is around 50 people and ideally, you’d have an all-round technical background in IT support with a focus on Microsoft and Office 365 products including Microsoft Active Directory.

This isn’t a man management role, we’re looking for strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts in a simple and clear way. We also need someone who is up-to-speed with modern technologies and has an interest in cloud-based computing…. It would great if you have some sort of experience working with internal software engineering departments and an inclination to become more involved with DevOps in the future, as the company moves towards the cloud your role will naturally become more involved with this.

What you’ll be doing…
You’ll be working as the sole member of the IT team for a technology focussed company – while you’ll have the main responsibility for the IT function, you’ll also be working closely with the CTO to plan and implement the overall company IT strategy.

Other responsibilities will include -
* Manage internal infrastructure including LANs, WANs, connectivity, security and wireless.
* Facilitate the migration to cloud based platforms and moderation of systems such as telephony.
* Coordinate IT support, training, and orientation for company employees.
* Define and enforce the company Cyber Security and Disaster Recovery Polices.
* Provide mechanisms to monitor system and network performance.
* Maintain relationships with technology vendors.

While we aren’t looking for experience in 100% of these areas, we are looking for people who would be willing to learn and quick to research / skill up where they can.

About them…
You probably haven’t heard of the company before them but they are backed by a large organisation who have been in the area for a long time and their products are used around the world!

It’s a fast-paced environment that encourages entrepreneurship and putting your own stamp on things. Benefits include, 25 days holiday, private healthcare, generous pension, bonus scheme, flexible working, socials and a 35-hour working week!

Still here? Good!
