3 month temporary contract initially - £22.50 p/h (this role falls outside IR35)

[ IT Operations Engineer / 2nd Line Support Engineer / 2nd Line Support Analyst ]

We are seeking a highly customer focussed 2nd Line Support / Operations Engineer to join a busy Service Desk team in central London (near Hyde Park).

The key is the Service element as you'll act as the face of the IT department and be involved in a mix of telephone and remote support for the whole organisation (multiple locations through the UK) and some floor walking support in the London office. You'll be helping to support a mix of Desktop, Server, Mobile equipment and other IT hardware systems, Audio / Visual setups as well as various software packages.

This is a Windows environment and your main day to day responsibilities will include:

Ensuring the reliable provision and 2nd line support for all IT systems.
Resolving escalated incidents and problems.
Provide local assistance both in London and for other remote resolver groups, including 3rd parties.
Provide expert technical advice and customer focus in the resolution of incidents and problems.
Working closely with the Infrastructure team to ensure IT systems are fit for purpose.
Monitoring and maintaining IT systems and undertake action to ensure consistent delivery of IT services.
Logging incidents on the Service Desk tool.

You'll be working in a fast-paced environment providing a comprehensive level of support for around 1000 users (across various sites) in total. It's really important for you to have a pleasant communication style and react well under occasional pressure.
