  • Salary £40,000 - £75,000
  • Location Cardiff

About the company…
Traditionally not known for their technical capabilities our client are completing multiple transformations. The technical teams keep the company at the forefront of technology and as the company scales in projects and size, they have an exciting IT department that are constantly thinking of new ways to improve their functions.

Within the wider security team, they are creating a robust and resilient environment where they can protect internal and external users and have full control over their internal security controls, processes and tech stack. Whilst they have a focus on technical security professionals, they’ve also created a Security Delivery team; assisting with projects, delivering capabilities and supporting the strategy of the business.

About you…
You’ve got a strong background within project management; responsible and involved in all stages of a project lifecycle from initial concepts through to delivery and operations. As well as this, you’ve been involved in (in an ideal world!) security focussed projects – looking at implementing new GRC accreditations, migrating security tech stacks; we’re pretty flexible as long as it’s within cyber security.

You will enjoy working within an ever changing environment, where you will work across multiple projects, simultaneously. Some people would call it balancing spinning plates (I’ve also heard herding cats!) but we’d say it’s being able to manage your time effectively and deliver across multiple work streams.

What you’ll be doing…
Managing multiple projects (internally and with external 3rd parties) that have cyber security remits within them. You’ll be aiming to deliver projects within time, cost and quality criteria – ensuring that the company strategy is aligned with the needs of the business and helping to drive change.

You’ll be a key member of the cyber security delivery team, getting involved in every stage of the project lifecycle from inception to closure. You will address potential risks within projects and create a strategy with the security team to mitigate these as much as possible. You’ll liaise closely with stakeholders and technical teams; being the bridge between the two conversations to make sure that everyone is moving in the same direction.

What we’re looking for…
* A strong background / experience within project management – ideally across multiple work streams simultaneously, backed up with strong certs like Prince2, PMP, APM etc (basically anything related to project management!)
* A good level of experience working within cyber security projects – can be anything from GDPR implementation through to the creation of a new SOC – the more security the better.
* Ability to work closely with technical counterparts and a strong understanding of ‘on prem’, PaaS, SaaS and IaaS technologies, processes and methodologies.
* Ability to work within an Agile environment in a collaborative manner.

As always, if you’ve got certificates within cyber security this would be really beneficial (Things like CISM, CISSP, ISO27001, GDPR etc would be good) but we won’t hold it against you if you don’t.
