Bid Manager - £45K - £70K

IntaPeople have a new requirement for a highly experienced Bid Manager to join a market leading technology client in West London. As the Bid Manager you will manage the RFP (Request for Purchase) reply process and provide tailored solution designs according to customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• develop and communicate the bid strategy with the bid team
• create, communicate and deliver on bid plans (bid timeline)
• gather, evaluate client business requirements, identify gaps in the RFP documentation and formulate questions to the customers
• validate solution design obtained from product management or third parties
• design technical solutions considering end to end operational availability, reliability, stability, manageability, scalability and security.
• understand customer's business, commercial and technology drivers, and translate them into the most appropriate solution
• add, complete and assemble content delivered by the bid team or external parties
• provide input to the project management team on implementation and deployment and validate the response against the customer requirements
• initiate, perform and evaluate downstream RFPs for partner solutions
• transition design responsibilities from a bid phase into implementation
• perform post-bid follow up activities and lessons learned
• trigger improvements to the bid process and to the product evolution upon feedback received from customers
• evaluate legal impact of RFP documentation and trigger risk assessment
• Formulate the requirements and follow up with the related support organizations to obtain a structured content for services solutions descriptions
• Formulate the requirements and follow up with external solution providers on content delivery towards the RFP reply
• Verify completeness and accuracy of submittals
• Initiate bid reviews to drive stakeholders’ approval process
• Involve in contract preparation and negotiation
• Initiate a hand-over process to implementation project manager
• Perform Post RFP follow up on lessons learned and continuous program for improvement of RFP reply
• Propose processes changes and working methods to improve processes as required
• Evaluate needs for Partners, downstream vendors and cooperation with local entities and trigger relevant activities

Education

o University Degree or equivalent in IT or BA
o Minimum 5 years of experience in working on RFP, RFI, RFQ replies and preparing unsolicited proposals
