Infrastructure Manager – East Midlands / UK Wide
6 Month Contract Initially - Likely Jan 2018 Start

£375-425 p/day & travel expenses

We are urgently seeking an experienced and versatile Interim Infrastructure Manager to help on a number of sites throughout the UK but with the majority of time being spent in the North East of England / Humber area. In theory you can be based anywhere in the UK for this position but you will be travelling less if you happen to live in the East Midlands or North East of England (although some travel to various sites in the South of the UK will still be needed, mileage and any overnight stays will be expensed)

We need someone who can help optimise strategic vendor relationships and ensure that IT Infrastructure levels of availability are achieved as well as working towards the simplification of the IT estate and considering solutions to meet its future demands.

Essential Skills and Experience Includes:

• Strong knowledge of data centre architecture and technologies
• Strong knowledge of networks
• Experience in managing and procuring IT services
• An excellent understanding of how businesses can maximise their use of IT
• A good awareness of IT and the strategies and direction of IT solutions and trends
• Willingness to travel around the Group as required for specific projects and generally.

Ideal / Nice to have skills

• Previous Experience of undertaking this role within a SAP (or similar Enterprise level ERP) ecosystem
• Possess a good degree in an IT related subject relevant to this post
• Certification in ITIL
• Experience of budgets and financial forecasting
• Service orientated approach and a willingness to put the customer first

We feel this role would be ideally commutable from from Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield, Leicester, M1 Corridor, Hull, Immingham, Grimsby, Leeds, York, Scunthorpe and Doncaster but you can be based from further a field as there are VC technology that they could utilise if you were based more nearer the South but there would probably still be a fair bit of travel needed to the North East, Southampton and London as well.
