NOC Manager

Our client have an established NOC, a team that’s been built over the past year and now they need someone to take the reins and push it forward. You may be an experienced Manager, that’s fine, or you may be a Team Lead looking to make the step up, that’s ok too, we just want a candidate who’s good at what they do and can help to lead the team moving forwards. The company are a passionate organisation who work in a collaborative manner so ideally we want a technical genius who likes knowledge sharing; surely that’s not too much to ask?

Within the role you will be managing a group of NOC Engineers, maintaining processes and procedures, reviewing security policies and lead the hiring process for new Engineers. The successful candidate will also sit in the advisory board within the company and advise on changes within the company, you will lead NOC projects, manage resources effectively and report into the Head of Infrastructure and Senior Management team for the company.

In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skillset and technological knowledge;
• Experience managing a NOC (or SOC) environment.
• Solid level of experience with Linux, automation tools (Salt Stack, Ansible or Puppet) and monitoring tools (Nagios or Zabbix)
• Strong networking understanding and a basic level of knowledge with routing, switching and firewall management.
• Some experience with Cloud services (AWS, Azure, OpenStack etc)

It would also be beneficial to have knowledge of the below but this is not a necessary requirement for the role;
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
• Knowledge of PCI, ISO27001 and SOC2.
• Experience of working on large global environments.
• Experience working with mission critical services.
