Programme structure

In the first few weeks you will get to grips with how our business works, understand our market and how you will fit in.

We offer a structured training programme that covers everything you need to become a successful recruitment consultant.

The initial 6 months’ training will cover:

  • Market research
  • Technology trends
  • Candidate search
  • Interviewing
  • Referencing
  • Inbound marketing
  • Social media
  • Networking
  • Lead generation

The second half of the graduate training programme will cover:

  • Business development
  • Account management
  • Outbound marketing
  • Contract negotiation
  • Client meetings
IntaPeople training and development

At the end of the 12 months you will have all the necessary skills to build a career in recruitment. Graduates who work hard and impress during the programme will be offered a full-time contract of employment with IntaPeople at the end.

Recruitment process

To succeed in recruitment you need to be confident and resilient, with excellent communication skills. Our five stage recruitment process is designed to showcase your strengths and help us determine your suitability for the role.

Stage 1

All applicants will be required to complete our short online application form. This is your opportunity to tell us why you would be perfect for our Graduate Development Programme. Don’t forget to proof read your answers; attention to detail is a key requirement.

Stage 2

Confidence on the telephone is vital to becoming a successful recruitment consultant. Applicants who pass stage 1 will be invited to the second stage which consists of a telephone interview with a member of the management team.

Stage 3

Applicants who impress during their telephone interview will progress to stage 3. This stage consists of a sales focused telephone role play with a member of our team. We understand that this scenario may be new but we will be judging how you handle yourself in an unfamiliar situation. You will be given a brief beforehand and time to prepare so you don’t need to worry.

Stage 4

Stage 4 consists of a group assessment day with a variety of different tasks and exercises including:

  • An ice breaker
  • A group exercise that will test your ability to think on your feet, your team work, communication and problem solving skills
  • A presentation
  • An aptitude/psychometric test

Stage 5

The final stage of the application process is a face to face interview. As part of the interview you will be invited to shadow one of our team. This will give you the opportunity to experience the company culture first hand and fully understand the role of a recruitment consultant.  

Exceeding targets

Recruitment Consultants are targeted on both activity (e.g. sales calls and meetings) and financial billings on a weekly and monthly basis, and are expected to achieve and exceed the targets agreed.
