Position: Technical Manager (Food) Salary: £50K plus excellent bonus and benefits Location: Hertfordshire
Our Client is a major food producer with multiple sites accross the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s largest food manufacturers in a Senior position – A company that prides itself on inspiring customer loyalty along with employee satisfaction and rewards.
You will be the customer facing point on all site technical issues. •As Site Technical Lead, you will play a key part in the Senior Management team. You will ensure that food safety is assured through interpretation, application and review of appropriate site policy and control mechanisms. •You will be the main point of contact for all external customers and enforcement bodies as well as customer contact for all general food safety, legal and quality standards •You will ultimately be responsible for developing the Technical strategy for the site whilst ensuring effective day to day delivery. •Responsible for the hygiene and procedural standards across the site SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: •A candidate who has held a technical/quality management role in the past. •Experience working with and liaising with the large Retailers •Experience of BRC audits and a good knowledge of HACCP. •Excellent communication skills • Previous large site experience is advantageous KNOWLEDGE/QULIFICATIONS: •Educated to degree level or equivalent in a food related discipline •Advanced HACCAP
