We are currently seeking candidates for a Business Research Analyst for a Public Sector Educational Assessment and awarding organisation based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Analyst - Data Modelling - Financial Analysis - CRM - Advanced Excel.
Your challenge is to provide a range of research and analysis which will help develop qualifications and services of the highest quality. Your work will involve using data modelling to identify trends and comparing data for different customer segments. You will also provide ongoing financial analysis of our assessment services to make sure they’re cost efficient, design customer relationship data collection processes and develop plans for the use of CRM data, together with the CRM Liaison Manager.
It’s a key role that could have a big impact on the organisation. It’s therefore important that you have analysed the performance of assessment events and qualifications before, and produced costing evaluations for them. You should also have analysed financial data, collated research, produced trend analysis and presented such information in a way that’s easy to understand. A degree (or equivalent) is essential, as are advanced Excel skills. A research or finance qualification would be an advantage.
Main duties and responsibilities: To provide support to internal cross-divisional customers:
• Create data modelling to identify trends in data for internal and external customers.
• Compare data for each segmentation type against a benchmark to assess risk to the business.
• Support internal customers, to identify their data requirements and reports
• Collaborate with the CRM Liaison Manager to develop plans for use of CRM data within the business to achieve robust and productive customer relationships.
• On-going financial analysis of assessment services to ensure cost efficiency.
• Design of customer relationship data collection processes and production of trend analysis reports to meet customer requirements.
• Development and maintenance of assessment item banks and assignments.
• Contribution to assessment event reviews to monitor performance against learning and assessment strategies and performance targets including the identification of anomalies and trends where appropriate.
• Advice on planning, management and delivery of assessment processes support services.
• Analysis to support the delivery of quality assessment services to customers.
• Financial analysis of assessment services to ensure cost efficiency.
• Comparative financial modelling for the development of cost effective business cases for individual qualifications
• Post launch of qualification, compare business case against actual costs and profit margins
• Trend and statistical analysis to support quality management to meet Ofqual Conditions of Recognition.
• Support for the monitoring and evaluation of performance and outcomes of panel meetings to ensure that they meet regulatory requirements, the assessment strategy and the business processes and procedures.
• Trend and statistical analysis to support the review of the conformance of centres to the businesses assessment processes.
• Benchmarking of assessment outcomes nationally and internationally and against assessments strategy performance targets.
• The collation and analysis of statistical data to support assessment events in the awarding process.
• Analysis to identify assessment issues and propose solutions for remedial work with centres as this relates to assessment activity
