IT Architect - Windows Server, 2008, VMWare, SAN

£45-50K + Benefits
We are looking for an experienced and very technically hands-on IT Architect / Infrastructure Manager with particular skills in Windows Server 2008, VMware, Active Directory (AD), Cisco, LAN/WAN technologies and SAN for an exciting company in Cardiff.
You will manage 3 direct reports but the main focus will be your technical experience as a large number of projects are planned in a complex infrastructure. There are ongoing infrastructure development projects, including virtualisation, so this role will provide a significant challenge into the long term.
Person Spec
In order to apply you will be very technically strong and should also have good certifications, any current CCNA, MCSE, MCITP or VCP certs will be of great value.
This is a dual managerial and technical leadership role but the technical skills and qualifications are more important than previous management experience. For this one you will need expert skills in a number of the following technologies and be able to demonstrate that you are currently hands-on:
* Microsoft Windows Servers (Windows Server 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008)
* Virtualisation (VMWare or equivalent)
* Network Security (IPS, IDS, NAC)
* Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity design and testing
* Cisco routing and switching
* General LAN/WAN technologies eg networking, Firewalls, security
* Storage (SAN)
The Package
Role based in central Cardiff. Salary from £45k - £50k. Benefits include pension, healthcare, life assurance, 25 days holiday + flexible Benefits.
This role should be easily commutable from Cardiff, Newport, Bridgend, Swansea, Rhondda, Barry and Cwmbran.
