Server Engineer

Intapeople are working exclusively with a stable, low staff turnover company who have a brand new Infrastructure / Server Engineer position available.
This is a new post and a rare opportunity to join an experienced and friendly team based in Cardiff. You will play an essential part in ensuring their systems are designed, implemented and maintained correctly.
For this role you must have Windows Server 2003/2008 experience and must also have carried out small project work before (this will need to be documented on your CV). You should have a good all round server and network knowledge as the organisation has around 50-60 servers all on VMware 4. They are on Microsoft 2003 upgrading to 2008 soon. You will definitely need some virtual environment experience for this role, VMware 3.5 or 4 ideal.
As well as VMware you should have demonstrable experience with Exchange, SQL Server, Cisco networking and any Sharepoint backup experience would be highly desirable (not essential).
Experience of administrating networked Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environments is essential and you will need a proven Information Systems background and a track record of delivering projects, systems and services.
