1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer
Cardiff
6 month fixed term contract
£25,000 pro rata salay & benefits
Intapeople are working exclusively on behalf of a local client of ours that is urgently seeking a 1st / 2nd line telephone and on-site application support engineer to help support a reasonably large user base in Cardiff.
This is an initial 6 month fixed term contract so essentially a permanent role for 6 months, there is a real chance it could extend or become permanent thereafter.
You will be working in a fast paced environment providing a comprehensive level of support by logging calls and resolving the users' problems by troubleshooting both software and hardware problems.
You will join a friendly support team of 8 to help with approx 1600 calls a month - between 65-70% of calls are solved by the 1st / 2nd line guys. There are about 1000 users in total spread across a number of locations in the UK.
During your time here they are planning to do a hardware refresh across the country so there will be occasions where you may need to travel and stay overnight at various locations (all expenses paid).
Technically, we're looking for solid experience and knowledge of the normal Windows infrastructure, Outlook, Exchange etc. Any SQL Server experience would be nice to have. You should have a pleasant communication style and react well under pressure.
