Junior PHP Developer
Edinburgh
£16,000 - £24,000 depending on experience + bonus + Pension + 25 days leave
My client is a software development company in the heart of Edinburgh with a great team environment and large client base. They have an opening for a junior PHP (LAMP) developer but could consider a Java Developer who wants to cross train to join their existing LAMP development team.
The role will involve bug fixes, change requests, maintenance and support in the first several months whilst you are trained and brought up to speed. Once you are confident in the product and development techniques the successful LAMP PHP Developer will be involved with large full lifecycle development projects using Agile methodology.
This role will suit either a post Graduate or developer with some commercial PHP LAMP or Java experience. We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual who have a passion for programming and examples of personal projects or websites will be advantageous.
Candidates should have a strong educational background and a good mix of commercial/academic experience in;
PHP or Java
MySQL
Desirable experience include:
MVC Frameworks or Struts
Object Orientated Development
HTML
CSS
