C# Developer - South Wales

Intapeople are working closely with a prolific company who is urgently seeking a C# / VB.NET Developer for a new permanent role in Cardiff, South Wales.
Essential skills include:
Very strong knowledge and experience of development with the Microsoft .Net Framework, including the very latest .Net Framework versions, a good understanding of object orientated development and application design patterns, as well as good C# development skills and experience with Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010.
Desirable skills include:
Knowledge and experience of Sitecore Content Management System, Microsoft SQL Server, BizTalk, SharePoint Server and CRM Dynamics along with an understanding and appreciation of both waterfall and agile software development techniques. Knowledge and experience of automated unit testing and build techniques will be a distinct advantage, along with any experience of Team Foundation Server. A Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist qualification backed up with industry experience would be desirable, along with any experience of working in the retail financial services sector.
As a Senior Analyst/Programmer you will be expected to:
Identify, report on and implement new development techniques, tools and best practices.
Produce system designs that are comprehensive, clear and concise that incorporate ease of maintenance, reliability and reuse of existing components where possible.
Develop software applications to a high quality standard.
Write efficient code, to agreed coding standards, code reviewed by a Technical Lead or Senior Analyst/Programmer.
Carry out comprehensive unit testing with unit test results available for review.
Produce documentation that explains system and technical detail accurately and to an appropriate level of detail.
Ensure that all configuration and release management activities are carried out accurately.
Provide third line development support for IT systems currently in the production environment.
