Web Project Manager
16 month fixed term contract (South Wales)
Up to £30,000
An exciting yet URGENT opportunity has arisen for a web project manager to join my well known public sector client based in South Wales. The role is a fixed term contract until June 2011 and will involve delivering major new functionality to their website. The project manager will need to work with multiple stakeholders, multiple outsourced contractors and internal resources which are disposable to them. The ideal candidate will need to hold a current driving licence (with own vehicle) and ideal speak welsh.
Duties to include:
To oversee the various phases of the project including design and development, training and implementation and piloting of the new
To provide consultation and knowledge to both internal and external team members on the required solution to meet the requirements of the project
To provide periodic and adhoc project manage reports and report to the project management board on progress made
To manage and monitor the project plan, issue and risk logs
To monitor and sign-off project expenditure against the project cost payment schedule and third party invoices
To work within the team, ensuring that the solution integrates and utilises the full scope of existing and under development projects
To meet regularly with the pilot area teams to ensure that the pilot meets the needs of those who will use the system
To provide training and training materials to support the use of the site to employers, training providers and telephone support teams
Specialist Knowledge
Extensive IT experience
Project Management experience
Comprehensive understanding of web development, including SQL Server, PHP, XSLT, CSS, XML, XHTML Understanding of PRINCE2 Methodologies
