Head of Operations (Submarine Telecoms)

£75,000 - £90,000 per annum - depending on experience
IntaPeople are currently looking for a senior Head of Operations with extensive experience in long haul submarine telecommunications. Candidates will be required to interview immediately with a view to starting the role ASAP.
Extensive experience in long haul submarine telecommunications operations is essential.
The Operations Director will be responsible for all operations, ensuring that all processes and procedures are in place and to run the network upgrades, provisioning, operational and maintenance activities of the company’s network.
Upgrade planning and project management, supplier relationships and routine O&M activities, providing technical support to the Sales and Marketing Director at customer meetings and throughout the sales process.
Manage and lead the operations team, ensuring the network continues to operate in accordance with agreed performance targets and contractual specifications.
Liaise with and manage the relationship with Network Operations Centre and all other suppliers, including the providers of backhaul and landing party services ensuring that their performance is of a high standard.
Oversee the implementation of any submarine or backhaul capacity upgrades ensuring that capacity orders are processed and provisioned in time to meet customer requirements, also ensuring services are provided in accordance with the agreed SLA.
Negotiate all new operations related contracts (e.g. OM supply, wet upgrades, metro extensions).
Providing technical advice on the relevant aspects of sales contracts.
Provide advice on existing agreements and contracts relating to network construction, backhaul and landing facilities, marine maintenance.
Extensive experience in long haul submarine telecommunications operations is essential.
