Job Title: Web Developer
Salary: £20-£24k + Optional Pension Scheme + Flexi Time (Core hours 10-4)
Location: South Wales
Job Purpose
Intapeople have an exciting new opportunity for a web developer with their prestigious Welsh based public sector client. The developer will be expected to enhance the existing core system, developing and editing modules on the content management system, integrating the content management system with other systems e.g. open source or off the shelf web software
The role will incorporate the following
•To write, organise and maintain all technical documentation for internal developments
•Support the internal project planning processes through accurate time scales for completion of projects, maintaining issues and risk registers
•Consult with internal Project Managers, designers and the online team on technical solutions to issues and requirements for the site
•Develop modules on existing CMS to support the requirements/technical specification
•Integrate CMS with external software
•Create HTML/CSS and XSLT from original designs
•Train staff on new modules and provide user guides for modules created
•Provide 2nd level support to internally produced modules and integration of software
Maintain version control and implement and monitor processes, working with contractors/other developers
•Periodically testing of the site against current web standards for usability, accessibility and code
